naturopathic medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is primary care medicine that integrates traditional and alternative therapies with conventional therapies (medications, surgery). Naturopathic doctors (ND’s) are specialists in holistic medicine, and are trained to offer safe, research based, and cutting edge natural therapies to promote health, prevent illness, and treat disease. In Latin, doctor, translates to “teacher.” It is the role of the doctor to teach patients about their condition, and what treatment options are available.

Naturopathic Medicine
Typically, patients seek care from an ND because they are interested in preventative medicine, have an aversion to pharmaceutical drugs, or because conventional medicine has been, in some way, unsuccessful in treating them. Naturopathic doctors seek not only to diagnose disease, but to find the underlying cause of disease for each individual. When medically necessary ND’s will prescribe pharmaceuticals. They work closely with other physicians to make sure the patient is receiving the best medical care available.
